for the record, the historical terrorist attacks on the u.s. occurred on the 11th Sept 2001, where 4 planes were hijacked and piloted as missiles targeting two buildings of the world trade centre in new york, one towards the white house, but ended up hitting the pentagon..

this morning i was again thinking about death, not being morbid here but u know, really thinking of how i would deal with the situation of imminent death.. and i felt i really needed to find some comfort from the Bible and i opened the Bible to the passage on our heavenly dwelling in 2 cor 5:1-7 which really answered my prayers for peace of mind and heart and soul 

"now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. meanwhile, we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. for while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. we live by faith, not by sight." 

that really made sense to me, cos we really wish that instead of being naked, we wish to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling: instead of being swallowed up by death, we may be swallowed up by life, and i knew the root of all my fears prior to this was simply expressed in those words... and certainty of the Holy Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come, should disperse all fear..
