fear of death

apostasy is an active decision..as opposed to an active decision to cling to God and cling to Jesus regardless the situation and circumstances and disappointments and not understanding… apologetics & questions on the origin of the Bible (esp in the selection of books) are red herrings to lead us away from clinging to the hope we profess, the truth of God and who He is.. it will matter not when Christ comes again…

exhortation to lukewarmers and fence-sitters: you will be the most pitied, cos all your life, where you think you have been worshipping God, you never really knew Him, and were not ready for what heaven is going to bring, that you don’t know what to stand for in the face of persecution, but fall away instead...

God of heaven living in me – wow! Holy God doesn’t lower His standards, and yet He is willing to allow us to share in His glory with Him! He doesn’t shy away from us cos we are unclean…all thanks be to Jesus for making that possible..

2 issues that came to mind during worship today, and this verse – (Lord pls reveal Your thoughts to me!): Isaiah 26:17 – as a woman with child and about to give birth writhes and cries out in her pain, so were we in your presence, O Lord.
1) persecution leading to death
2) short of time for mom

i’ve been recently plagued by a spirit of fear and unrest…Lord please take it away, replace it with a spirit of confidence & trust in You.. i guess it comes back to the point of how much i believe You and heaven are real….could everything we have here on earth be some illusion & like a setting of the matrix, where some higher being is controlling and programming us? but no…the higher being is You Lord, and i choose to believe everything the Bible says, esp about Your goodness…

Lord forgive me for my bouts of doubt…i was just feeling, i’m fine if i’m still around and Jesus comes during my lifetime…but if i’ve to pass on to the heaven through the gates of death, i get the spirit of fear coming down on me again…why?? it’s all about having faith in the unseen i guess…cos now, it’s easier to believe that we have faith becos we have Christians to pray with and be encouraged by…but when you have to actively die and wait for God to raise you from the dead…that’s where the real faith comes in…and while we’re still here and Christ comes, it will be an instantaneous revelation, that there’s no “lag” between the reality of the world and the reality of heaven to scare us..
