how to deal with a student who has family problems and keeps staying back to wait for me? is waiting to ask me a math questions an excuse to delay going home? is the long time that he takes to do his overdue assignments a genuine problem or is he just wanting to hang around for as long as possible?
to him his home is no longer a home. quarrels, divorce, wife-assualt.. Lord, this world is a mess.. his two sisters are christians, Lord please use them to bring hope to the family.. to this student... may he find the need to seek the source of love where love in this world is warped, selfish and imperfect - even his mother's.. Lord i need wisdom to know how to care for this student as You would want me to.. yet not creating a sense of dependency and proximity which is unhealthy.. Lord, he needs You.. please give him a hug today.. somehow..
how to deal with a student who has adhd (attention deficit hyperactive disorder)?? sigh.. the soft approach and patient approach doesn't work.. scolding and shouting works temporarily but it is so draining.. Lord i pray for wisdom to know how to creatively engage him that he may focus on the task at hand..
