Jesus, I'm learning to relate to you as my intimate friend and lover.. thank You for first loving me, that I may respond to You, to what You have first done... I wonder how it's like for males to relate to you as a "lover", or even to identify with what it means to be part of the church that's described to be the bride of Christ... there must be some inner experience of intimacy common to all man - male and female - you created us in Your image... may we learn to connect with you in that inner place and core of being Your creation, where gender norms and socially constructed labels do not dictate how we should relate to You
